The Construction of Self portrays the relationship between the inner self and the outside world, tracing a human landscape where personal narratives, search of identity and passage of time intertwine.Throughout this body of work threads are a constant pattern and a signature of Mel Dare. Threads which bind and separate. Threads which are torn and restitched.
